Anxiety ... Nothing More Than Thinking about Something in the Future

Anxiety is nothing more than thinking about something in the future - thinking about it enough that it triggers an alarm in your body.
If you catch yourself worrying, catastrophizing about the future, or asking "what if" - you need to interrupt the worry pattern and insert something else.
Count backwards from 5-4-3-2-1, then insert one of these pattern interrupts:
What if it all works out? When you stand up to present, what if the presentation goes really well... you can't argue with that.
This moment will pass.
I can handle this.
If you can stabilise your thoughts the body will settle down, so it doesn't escalate.
