Motivation Booster Tips

Motivation depends on three things: having a preference for doing something, believing you can do it, and knowing it will bring results.

It is the little choices you make every day that really make up who you are. Focus on making as many small healthy choices as possible - that's how you live the life you want.


1. Find support

Look for support in places you haven't tried before - forums, or people who have already achieved what you're aiming for.

2. Identify your motivational profile

List your 'pains' (what you don't want) and your 'gains' (what you're happy to do). From your options, choose the action that ticks off more of your gains.

3. Practise gratitude

Gratitude magnifies positive emotions, blocks toxic ones like envy, and increases self-worth. Grateful people are more motivated to act.

4. Schedule self-development time

Timetable yourself in every day - making that commitment to yourself as important as your commitments to others.


Every day ask yourself: is what I'm about to do going to move me towards my ideal life or away from it?
